FREE summer holiday workshop on Sex and History – creating a new approach to sex ed!

Relationships and Sex Education is finally becoming statutory but for years it has been ‘too little, too late and too biological’.

As part of our summer holiday provision we are offering young people aged 15+ the chance to attend a day’s workshop exploring Sex and History. This is a cutting edge approach that explores how ancient historical objects can support us to have modern day conversations about gender, sexuality, sex, relationships and ourselves. Off the Record have kindly been funded by Exeter University to run this workshop as part of our work on their LGBT History month resource . We will also be looking at general Sex and History resources which recently won a Pamela Sheridan award for innovative RSE.

We will be looking at creative and reflective ways to develop the sex and history resources.  This is YOUR chance to help create some great relationships and sex education materials using history that can really make a difference.
